The customer wanted to either sell the business as a going concern or liquidate all the assets. Loeb was able to attract four letters of intent (LOI) for turnkey operation, obtaining and coordinating prospective buyers. We also drove many prospective buyers to bid on the site as an ongoing operation, but ultimately, the customer could not achieve the desired position for sale.
Luckily, there was still an opportunity for lightning to strike twice. After many sales negotiations, the East Coast Brewery decided that an auction would be the best course of action. The appraised value of the auction came to $1,650,000. Loeb was happy to brew up a positive outcome for the customer not once, but twice.
