Marchesini Model DTU Automatic Vial Detraying Unit. Has integrated Fanuc 710 robot. Fanuc 710 robotic DTU vial unloader. The robot uses tooling consisting of a gripper, a vision camera, a vision light, and two ultrasonic sensors. The camera allows the robot to automatically locate each tray in the stack on the infeed pallet thus correcting for stack variability. The trays are inserted by the robot into the DTU Detraying Unit. De-Traying Unit: Custom designed standalone unit, It accepts trays from the robot or manually from an operator if the manual guard is installed. Once a tray is slid into the DTU by the robot, the vials are lifted out of the tray vertically by a pneumatic cylinder. An IAI brand electric actuator is used to rake the vials horizontally from the lift plate into the infeed conveyor belt prior to the labeler.
